Growing Healthcare Organization Selects Ultimate Software’s Core UltiPro and UltiPro Time and Attendance

In the four years before selecting UltiPro, the healthcare provider had tripled in size and had expanded its operations from just within California to eight additional states. With more than 1,600 employees in 24 locations, Oakdale Heights had outgrown the service bureau it had been using and spent over a year evaluating vendors in search of the right solution. The Oakdale Heights team selected UltiPro for such features as:

* Web access for managers and executives,
* integrated human resources, benefits administration, and payroll functionality, with comprehensive time and labor features, and
* Ultimate Software’s track record for high-quality customer support.

A key objective of the Oakdale Heights’ HR team was to reduce its administrative workload by automating and streamlining processes. The team wanted to “go green” and further reduce time-consuming manual processes by moving beyond basic self-service and transitioning from paper to electronic transactions and decision-making using automated workflow and electronic approval processes.

“Considering our larger workforce and the amount of paper required for something like a wage increase, the time my team had to devote to tactical activities was getting out of control. Everyone is excited about the increased automation we expect with UltiPro so that we can focus more on our key organizational objective to hire and keep the best people rather than spend our workday moving paper,” said Dena Platz, director of human resources for Oakdale Heights Management Corporation.

According to Platz, another reason Oakdale Heights selected Ultimate Software was the flexibility of the time and attendance solution. UltiPro Time and Attendance delivers a comprehensive set of time and leave-management capabilities that Platz plans to use to schedule and manage attendance more effectively.
